The truth is in plain contradiction
The truth is not in this situation

The truth is like chasing a phantom
The truth is so seemingly random
The truth is not easily handled
The truth is not here

The truth is stranger than fiction

If I have to stand all day in the bright sunshine

If I have to dance all night, leave my body behind

Because the truth is never gonna look for me
I will never get to see what I have not earned
And the truth is, if that day should never come
That doesn't mean I was wrong
