Let me just start with a shameless HELLO to my friends; Darren, Rick, Chris, Jeff, and Lou. It was the first time we got to see Todd together, and it was well worth the wait.
Let's see, where do I start? Hammer In My Heart started out the night out great. I wasn't sure if I would like it solo acoustic, but it was a fine opener for the night. Unfortunately, the black Tak was very prone to going out of tune. I just think Bi-polar Bob got sick of pianos and decided to mess with Todd's guitars. An excellent Tie You Down was followed by Lysistrata and Cliche.
We took a few minutes to start uploading to Todd's site, but it didn't seem to take as long as it did in previous shows. What followed was a blistering electric #1 Lowest Common Denominator, with at least a good five minutes of guitar freakout at the end.
A few more tunes..... some incorrect media..... time to pose for a 360 photo for our friends on the internet.
Then, some electric satan's coffin for a beautiful Compassion. Too bad the houselights were on for tne picture, it kind of ruined the mood.
After the piano it was Tiki time with Jesse and some shakers. Bring out the ukelele for Bang the Drum. All I can say is VERRRY INTERESTING!
More Jesse and two encores later, an awesome evening was over. My friend Rick jumped in Todd's van and got a picture and I've got a sore head from too many Samuel Adams. Thanks to Todd for another wonderful evening. I finally didn't have to travel 50 miles to see the show.
SET LIST:
i hope we can do this again next year, and hopefully this close to home!
