Another typical solo show, with the addition of Mr. John Ferenzik in the bossa nova portion of the show. I've seen shows at Maddie's before (okay, just John Entwistle), and it's a nice place to see a gig. But the crowd was RUDE. Apparently, most Todd fans in Southeastern Pennsylvania are not aware that he released anything after 1973. Somebody actually yelled "PLAY SOMETHING WE KNOW!" But Todd eventually got saucy with folks yelling for "Be Nice To Me", etc., over and over.
On the other side of the coin...while I love Todd's music, and consider him to be one of my musical idols, would it kill him to PRACTICE? He makes the same mistakes in the same songs over and over and over. When I pay good money to see a show, I don't want to see the performer go up on stage and screw up almost every single song. (That's actually a bit of an exaggeration. He only screwed up the songs he played by himself.) It's an insult, really. But that's just me. Anyway, here's the setlist:
