The Occasional TR News - #20010406

"The Occasional TR News" once again lives up to its name as the fourth issue in two years is finally released.

The need for a more frequent distribution was somewhat allayed by a feature I developed at the TR Connection which quickly displays the latest TR news (as reported on TRC). Check it out anytime at

So what is the latest news? The biggest news is that Todd will be joining Ann Wilson (Heart), John Entwistle (The Who) and Alan Parsons (The Alan Parsons Project) in "A Walk Down Abbey Road: A Tribute to The Beatles." This summer tour kicks off on June 15 in Northern California, and is expected to last five to six weeks. Details are sketchy, and tour dates and venues have not been firmed up yet. Watch for updates at

Todd is also performing in a single solo date in the Los Angeles area on April 27. This follows his participation in Hal Willner's "The Harry Smith Project." Details of these events are also to be found on the tour info page.

Nippon Crown continues to release live material as part of its "Todd Archive Series." Volumes Five, Six and Seven are due April 25, for release in Japan only. TR-friendly importers will have them. Visit

There have been other releases in the past few months as well. Todd's most recent domestic US release is "Reconstructed." Although billed as "Todd Rundgren," it's basically a selection of TR vocals, remixed into entirely new version of songs by various remix artists. An interesting compilation, but will not satisfy all tastes.

"Live" is another recent release from the archives of the King Biscuit Flower Hour. It's a compilation of material from various versions of that radio show from 1977, 1978 and 1985.

Todd's PatroNet service, The Interociter, is up and running, and a lot of content is now available. Details for subscriptions are at

Todd will be a Keynote speaker at the Interactive Music Expo (IMX for short) to be held on Oct 9-10, 2001 in Los Angeles, California. For additional details see the IMX web site at
