Not to make any lame excuses about the pace at which this site is coming on line, but did you see that phone company commercial where the guy is "at the office" while sitting on the beach? Did they happen to mention if there were ISDN connectors somewhere in the sand?

It is Sunday evening in Kilauea and the TR-i CD+ team is packing to leave in the morning. Amongst our 'accomplishments' here, I began on monday (5/15) to upload this site. Internet service is next to non-existent on this remotest island so I have to connect long-distance through my S.F. provider. The phones have this funny single duplex thing that often confuses the modems.

Useless declaiming aside, I still would recomend the experience of working in paradise. Were it not for the phone lines, I might not bother to come back.

Watch this space for more sensible and useful information in the coming days (especially, I'm sure, the long-awaited free stuff).
