  NEW HOPE, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 26, 1996--The people
have voted, the industry has spoken and Digital Entertainment's
enhanced CD The Individualist by Todd Rundgren has been singled
out as Rock & Roll CD-ROM of the year at this year's Digital
Hollywood Conference. From a highly competitive field of hit
multimedia titles nominated by the general public, a committee
of entertainment industry professionals selected "The
Individualist" for its creativity, content and utilization of
the new multimedia format.
 
Digital Hollywood gathers top executives from both the
entertainment and technology industries.  The Digital Hollywood
Awards were initiated two years ago to honor exemplary works --
from digital effects to websites and CD-ROMs.  The public was
invited to join in the online voting process for this year's
competition, nominating their favorites for the coveted awards
through the website www.digitalhollywood.com.  

In a year that saw a boom in multimedia music with the release of more 
than 100 enhanced CD titles, Digital Entertainment and rock 
legend/multimedia pioneer Todd Rundgren pushed the format's capabilities 
with The Individualist.  Playable on both a CD-ROM drive and on an audio 
CD player, Rundgren's award-winning enhanced CD offers a virtual feast 
for the eyes and ears, including a separate visual journey for each song, 
navigable animated 3-D environments, a five-level DOOM-like game, and the 
ability for the user to direct their own full-motion music video.
