Media mentions of Woodstock (pere et fils)

CNN Showbiz today was CNN Woodstock ii today. They did a segment on the
tech stuff followed by an interview with Todd Rundgren. It focused on the
big boys (philips CD-I with 100 players, the Gabriel video/ride, the online
rep was the Stones on Delphi). Mostly emphasized how the companies would
get valuable information and data from the thousands thronging through.
Also showed the similar set-up at lalapalooza.

Todd Rundgren is blowing away the entire festival. His stage set-up is very
accessible and is playing four times a day. He's the only reason I came here
and aside from the hassles getting into the site (metal detectors, buses)
it's a blast.
woodstock.13.15: Michael Kevin (mikalkev) Sat 13 Aug 94 02:26
What is the story with Todd Rundgren? He couldn't be performing
four times a day?? Is it some kind of interactive computer setup??
Anything like his recent tour??
woodstock.13.16: Steve Rhodes (srhodes) Sat 13 Aug 94 06:33
He's in the tech area where the well booth is (forget the name). CNN showed
him playing to a bunch of people, talking to them, making them part of the
show. He was one of the more interesting aspects of the Music & Multimedia
prgram at the Castro theater in San Francisco during the film fest.
woodstock.13.17: Danica Remy (wstock2) Sat 13 Aug 94 07:27
Did he have the pod at the Music & Multimedia program?

Last night while we were setting up we could hear Todd Rundgren nearby - he
played till 10:30 or 11, then we listened to tapes in a boombox brought by
the people who are painting a cool mural for our tent.

Any Todd Rundgren?
woodstock.26.8: JT/Alabama (wstock5) Sat 13 Aug 94 09:34
#26...Yessssss!!! Todd Rundgren has his own stage, The Todd Pod, and I
bumped into Jerry Garcia yesterday (Fri.) watching Todd's one-man, and
someitimes one todd with one audience volunteer on percussion musical
extravaganza instantly takes me back to the nights when i fell asleep to his
tapes.
Amateur Radio Operators (Hams) at Woodstock (CQ...)
woodstock.34.1: N1MYT (John) (wstock3) Fri 12 Aug 94 11:52
CQ - CQ - CQ All hams at Woodstock! I have my Alinco DJF1T 2meter handheld
radio, and am calling CQ on 146.520 MHz. I arrived Wednesday night @10PM,
and was welcomed by Todd Rundgren performing in his "Todd Podd" in the
"Sureal Field". I'm having a great time, and will be making special
operation QSL cards for contacts while here. I can also operate Mt. Greylock
146.910 repeater, and will operate there when able (when I don't have to
compete with the bands, besides, I want to listen to them too!!!).
Peace and Music,

Questions for the Well Team
woodstock.80.6: Fumihiko "Miko" Matsumura (miko) Tue 16 Aug 94 14:45
It was nice that we could hear the music from the North (main) stage from
our tent. (except when Todd Rundgren was playing). We hear arrested
development, and our packing on the last day was serenaded by Peter
Gabriel. It was lovely.
