The Wiltern 5/29/18

I had been waiting for this show a long time. Nearly 45 years! In December of 1973, my great brother had the foresight to take me to see Todd at The Music Hall in Kansas City. When the full band came out for the second set and magically built to the spectacular opening notes of Utopia Theme, my mind was blown and I've been in love with the music ever since. So to be able to hear these great, old songs again, live, was truly an amazing experience. Was it perfect? No. Todd got lost a few times, Kaz sounded like he might be fighting a cold and the mix was distorted a bit in the first set, but that didn't dampen anyone's spirits. Everyone around me was totally loving it! Me too. What a great night.
