Review of Jim Thorpe, PA show - 12/2/17

It's be awhile since I've done a TR review, but I felt compelled after seeing OH at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA on December 2nd.

I caught Todd during the Yestival back in August when it was in nearby Hershey, PA and was sad that I hadn't caught the first leg of the WK tour. But, he didn't come to PA during the first leg so there wasn't a nearby show.

After the Yestival whetted my appetite, I was excited to see that Todd was coming to Jim Thorpe, PA - just about 90 minutes or so from me. So, I got my tickets.

Jim Thorpe is like something out of a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie. Great little town. And I was thoroughly impressed with Penn's Peak. Really nice venue.

I never quite know what to expect with the crowd at Todd shows. I've been to shows where it's obvious that the majority of the crowd are "Hello, It's Me" Todd fans and they typically sit on their hands the entire night.

After Todd came out and finished "Come," to enthusiastic applause, hoots and hollers, I knew that this was going to be a great show.

Todd's voice was great. The band was tight. The WK stuff sounds fresh and proves that Todd is still an incredible songwriter.

"Chance For Us" is pure Philly Soul and a gem on the new record. Todd commented during that show that this was "basically a suburb of Philadelphia" before doing the song.

There are too many highlights to name them all, but Todd brought his A-game to Penn's Peak on Saturday night.

Bravo Todd! And THANK YOU!
