The venue was clean, fairly comfortable and cool to start the show. But you could feel the humidity and temperature rise during the show. Todd did bark once about the humidity, but it really seems he fought it off and gained energy during the show. Don't remember the exact words he used, but he indicated it was a "guitar heavy set, after all this is Austin". So this also meant Todd took quite a few guitar solos on the night - all appreciated by the crowd.
Sound was comfortably loud and clear, and Todd's voice was strong all night ('cept a little falsetto struggles). Playing was also strong by the band across the night, with great background vox. You gotta love hearing Kaz sing the alternating lyrics on "Sometimes I Don't Know What to Feel".
They performed 25 songs (3 on the encore) which filled up 2 solid hours. Crowd responded well the entire night, especially to the higher energy tunes such as OME, Determination, RM, B&W, Black Maria, Kiddie Boy, Drive, Rock Love, and the encore songs. Though there were fans calling for Just One Victory at the end, no one left disappointed.
It would be fun to see the entire 50 song list that this tour is "pulling from" (different set each performance per TR).
Outside after the show, it was raining - well, storming. But it felt good walking back to our Hotel, finding humor in trying to dodge the raindrops or find a temporary place under cover. My wife and I were fortunate to have our 25 yr-old son with us at the show (his 6th). He loved it all, particularly "LOTCM". Another great show we'll always remember.
