Charlotte Review

The Charlotte show was the best of the 3 performances we saw during the week. The day off between Durham and Charlotte seemed to do everyone good. Todd's voice was in excellent shape, with high and clear "falsies" evident right from the start. Kas smiled more and bantered with Todd. Jesse and Prairie were there usual impeccable selves.

The Neighborhood Theater was a more bar-like setting with a mix of reserved seats and general admission. We were fortunate to have front-row seats directly in front of Our Hero! The crowd was also more animated but not obnoxiously so. Todd offered more in the way of political commentary, particularly stressing his fondness for NC and saying he had many friends in the state. "I know you all aren't happy about what's happening here", alluding to state-wide GOP control and a coal ash environmental mess that's been in the news. The crowd cheered his comments; no dissent in the house that night.

We met a nice couple who had come out from San Antonio to catch the Charlotte gig before continuing to the Outer Banks. We shared a big hug of joy after the show.
