It was a terrific show by Our Hero (is there any other kind)? We brought two younger friends/Todd-neophytes with us and they were absolutely gobsmacked before you could say "Feel It" (which, regrettably, wasn't part of this show's set list).

Todd was in great spirits, animated, sang with passion and great control. If there was anything to complain about it would be, "More Foamy!" -- but the few solos he took through the night were scorching. And Foamy quit on him toward the end of the evening.

As always, Prairie, Jesse, John F. and especially Kas were on their respective games. I have been thrilled for years by the wonderful harmonies that Kas's higher, reedy voice lend to Todd's lead vocals; they blend together so effortlessly and John added some nice vocal backup as well.

Todd said early on that he had a new CD out that they would not be promoting tonight... while he meant that tongue-in-cheek, I wonder why he wouldn't have included at least ONE song from "State" on this tour, both to keep the set list up to date and to expose the new music to some of the older fans who might not have checked it out yet.

Another great evening and I can't wait until we get to see him again.
