Just back from the Park West show; definitely a challenge, maybe not my favorite of all TR experiments (not a rabid EDM fan), but the show was a lot of fun anyway, Todd was in EXCELLENT voice throughout, and I love him for trying something new (again and again). Except for a few minor glitches, the tech worked great, the lighting was a nice surprise . . I thought Prairie Prince could have sat this one out, in truth he sort of dragged a few songs down; he seemed to have trouble finding his place in the cacophony.
It was maybe a tough venue format, being a benefit for Chicago Coalition for the Homeless and having a blues revue opener (that went on a little too long).
A fun night, yes . . but I'm ready for the next thing . . cause there's always more!
