Great show! Great musicians and it was obvious they all get on really well and are having a lot of fun.
Thought Ringo's songs/performances were the weakest of the lot (they all seem like ditties) but the crowd loved him and he is in great shape for 72!
Most popular songs were Santana's classics "Evil ways" and "Black Magic Woman" and Steve Lukather was amazing. Toto's trio of songs got everyone up out of their seats.
But the genuine highlight of the night was Todd's "Love is the Answer." He was in fine voice and even though Aussie audiences are not familiar with this song he really won the crowd over with his impassioned singing. His background vocals were amazing and there is no doubt he is the liveliest of the lot.
Was disappointed he didn't sing "Can We Still Be Friends" (a huge hit here downunder!) instead of "Bang the drum" which is totally unknow here and not much more than a novelty song IMHO.
Grateful that TR was able to come downunder, play in a stadium and that he is obviously enjoying touring with Ringo and the gang.
Can't wait for "State!"
