First of all, The Cerritos Center For The Performing Arts is a great place to see a show. The venue is intimate and comfortable with great sound. The crowd was small, but enthusiastic though I think there were more ushers than concert goers. I brought my 12 year old daughter primarily to see Ethel because she's learning the cello and I thought she might actually practice if she saw how a real musician plays. She also knows how much I enjoy Todd's music, so she wanted to see why I'm always raving about him. She wasn't disappointed. The show was really wonderful. The playing was great, Todd's voice was strong, and the set list (below) was fun. I guess my biggest takeaway was how certain Todd songs really lend themselves to string arrangements. Stood Up, Lord Chancellor's Nightmare Song, Pretending to Care, Flamingo and Zen Archer were standouts for me.
