Great show! First time seeing Ethel live in person. Really, really good. Kashmir was amazing. They really play a diverse set with each song seemingly going further outside what one might expect. Loved it!

Todd's set started with Lysistrata, I Don't Want To Tie You Down, Viking Song and Can We Still Be Friends. Todd's voice sounded real strong and the room itself has superb sound. I saw the Liars tour in the same venue and both shows sounded equally awesome. He ended the set with One World which rocked as much solo as it did with a full band.

Todd/Ethel opened with Stood Up. What a surprising groove the strings got. It maintained the psychedelic feel of the record. Maybe even trippier. It was pretty intense. Mercenary was another surprising mesh of opposites. String quartet and a distorted guitar finding their own space. Perfectly brilliant! The standout cut for me was Flamingo - Zen Archer. Excellent musicianship. Todd's voice mixed with another great arrangement from Ethel is why I keep coming back.

Thank you TR and Ethel!

I can't wait for the new music in the spring or whenever it is we hear it.
