Todd & Ethel in New Bedford, MA 10/20/2012

This was an exceptional performance by Todd & Ethel, the quintessential fusion of string and rock arrangements. Ethel was in dynamic form and Todd came out rockin. The set list was similar to what had been reported. I saw Ethel during the Joe Jackson tour and was equally impressed by the combined musicianship of these professionals. The venue was originally scheduled for the Zeiterion Theatre but was later changed to a disclosed location on an estate owned by Dan Harple. This allowed for an unusual and intimate experience under the treetops and more importantly, under the RA pyramid from Todd's Utopia days. There is nothing like being out in the middle of a field with Todd and Ethel true to form. Todd was gracious enough to meet and greet after the performance and to this I say, many thanks. I appreciated the collaboration between TR and Ethel and would not hesitate to experience this again and again.
