Tralf Review

Review by Thom Jennings (Switch to

It was my fourth time seeing the Arena set and each show gets better than the last. Kasim adds a whole new dimension to the group with his solid background vocals and instrumentation. Rachel Haden is a feast for the eyes and a powerful bassist. Jesse is just awesome! Prarie is still one of the best drummers in the world.

The band really seemed to be having a good time. Todd was talkative and the room was full of smiles. Some people in the front yelled things like "freak parade" early on and Todd just smiled and went on with the blistering set. By the time he hit "Courage" nobody was yelling for the oldies becuase the Arena stuff was kicking ass.

Inasmuch as I am looking forward to AWATS live, I couldn't help but feel a slight sense of loss knowing that Arena is coming to an end. I hope Todd tours again with this band intact. They have been very good to all of the fans both musically and personally, the epitome of a class act.
