I really love seeing Todd at the Blender, it’s a great set up, you can get really close, and the Bars are very convenient. I don’t remember them being so pricy last year, but it is Manhattan. Nothing really out of the ordinary at this Arena show except it was excellent. He sounded great, they played great. I saw the tour before at the Borgata in AC in August (pre-Kasim) and it’s gotten much tighter, louder, and it was an absolute blast. He seems to be having as much fun as I can remember seeing.

Couple of observations:

  1. Rachel broke her pinky a few days ago and she’s playing great but I know it’s gotta hurt. I feel bad for her.
  2. Kasim was making faces at Prairie during Mercenary. I don’t think he likes that song. I really do.
  3. I believe that the hottest tune of the night was “today”, it just really got everyone going.

Anyway, it’s great to see Todd so energized, it’s been that way for the past 2 years or so, and since the first time I saw him was in 1979, it’s great to see, he’s been back and forth. I really think Arena is the best thing he’s put out in a long time, and it really translates great to concerts. If your not sure about these shows – go. If you can ever go see him at the Blender – go.

(I’ll see some folks in 4 days in Philly for the NYE show – I’m really excited about that one).
