DTE/Pine Knob - Clarkston Mi. - 9/2/07

Since I wasn't able to go to the Rockford show I decided long ago that I would go to the last New Cars concert in Michigan and I'm so glad I did. As luck would have it I was able to get my sister to go after seeing the Wisconsin show. We had both been to Pine Knob (DTE) before in the early 80's when Utopia played there. It brought back a lot of great memories. I love Michigan, the air is clean, you can do 70 mph, and the towns aren't on top of each other! The trees are great and that's one of the reasons why I love to go to Pine Knob (DTE), it's all woodsy. The weather was beautiful and Pine Knob (DTE) was really easy to get too.
The concert was FANTASTIC! No broken strings, no guitar problems, no monitor problems, nothing! The sound was great, the band tight, the songs were fantastic (I did miss the new ones) and the dueling guitar playing with Todd and Elliot is unbelievable! Black Maria was FANTASTIC! Prairie is unbelievable on drums and Greg is just fantastic on keyboards and sax. I hope the New Cars go on as I think Todd did a great job with the Cars music but of course also continue as always with his own music which he is doing now. I want to thank the crew guy that gave me Todd's guitar pick and the New Cars set list. It was really appreciated.
Looking forward to seeing Todd, Kasim, Prairie and Jessie in Vegas. That is also a great set list concert to go see! Why not the Midwest?
