House of Blues Sunset Strip 12-5-06

I must echo the sentiments of my good friend Darnelle C. It was a great night at the HOB on Sunset Blvd. As TR said during the show “This is where it all began” (for the general public at least) and I was very fortunate to have been at the press conference back in March at this venue as well as the original showcase in January. Even back then you could feel the respect and comraderie that these guys share. They are all fabulous musicians in their own right, but putting them together really brings this music to a new level. And they have FUN together. Todd (nice boots) and Elliot playing lead together is candy (O) to the ears, Kasim (looking handsome and exuding sex appeal even with jet lag, whew!) and Prairie creating rhythms that vibrate through you, and Greg very intense on the keyboards and sax but having a blast dancing and bopping around. My first time hearing Todd sing Warm was worth the drive in LA traffic alone. The venue was HOT (sweaty) and the music even HOTTER on Tuesday! It was wonderful to spend time with and see so many familiar faces as well. I love my TR friends and look forward to many more great times together.

Next show for me is Anaheim on the 17th. I can only hope it won’t be the last we hear from the guys as a band.
