As Todd used to be so fond of saying, the fans got "every penny's worth" at the State Theater Wednesday night. I took my wife for her second Todd experience and she was pleased. Before the show, she said something about how she hoped that the new version of the Cars wouldn't "ruin the eighties" for her. She came away from the show extremely satisfied. In my opinion, this was one of the better live rock shows that I have seen Todd front. Everyone present knew each song, but yet each song was fresh and different. Todd and the boys truely seemed to be having a blast. Kasim was there in all his glory -he must be the hardest working man in the business these days. After the Ethyl/Jackson/Todd show in Ann Arbor last year, Todd said (to the small group of us outside the theater) something about how musicians need to be out there, having fun and making music. It looks like it's mission accomplished...To the boys - if you're listening - Great show, thanks a lot for coming around! I can't wait to hear more.
