Over the last few years or so, I've done a bit of traveling to see Todd in various settings, but this one was one of my favorites. I got to see five of the Liars shows, with the first and last of the bunch being the best, and this was right up there.
It's always great seeing this guy in a different setting. Whether it's with a big band, solo or 1/4 of a damn good guitar rock band, there's nothing like it.
I had been looking forward to The New Cars deal, but the two shows I had planned on seeing bit the dust. Fortunately this little slice of heaven came along and satisfied a much needed Todd Fix.
I met a nice couple of folks that had traveled from PA to see the show and I guess it took them about 7 hours to make it. I had only traveled from as far as upstate NY. Fortunately for myself, I'm usually situated such, that I'm able to take in a Todd show at any number of locations, without a huge amount of bother in the travel dept.
Over the last few years I've had the good fortune to see quite a few of Todd's shows and although there is always the "Hello it's Me Crowd," I didn't really get that impression so much this time. At least it didn't seem that way to me. The crowd seemed to love whatever Todd played, as long as he kept on playing. Or it might just be that I tend to get so caught up in the moment, that I tend not to notice.
Anyway, as far as Todd Show's go, this one was way up there. Hopefully these guys will decide to do this some more, so everyone can revel as much as I did.
P.S. Did I mention that it was a great show?
