Similarly to me, Roger limited himself to one show for this entire tour. It's so out of character for both of us. . . I know I've seen at least four shows every year TR has gone out since the new Millennium began. Reading Roger's review of the next-to-last US show of the tour was SUCH a joy. As usual, Roger put out an extra effort to make it entertaining, but you could tell that there was not only joy, but relief hidden between the lines.
I know how wonderful it feels to get "that call" on the cell phone. I was in the same fix last year, when the special show at Joe's Pub was announced, and sold out within 24 hours. I had to put myself on the waiting list, and play the waiting game. Only five days before the show, the call came. What if I'd been "Trapped" in the Big Dig tunnel? Would they have called me back, or just gone to the next number on the waiting list?
Today is "The Last Ride" on this leg. Thanks to Roger, I can be there, inside everyone who's review he posts at TRC. His tireless efforts in all our behalves are herewith thankfully acknowledged.
