how many of you have seen the mona lisa? i mean the real mona lisa?? i have. and guess what? when you get to see the mona lisa, it's not from a comfortable chair in a beautiful theatre with a drink in your hand. you have to fight your way through a mob of 100-300 people at any given time with some woman's purse jabbing you in the back and some guy's elbow in your ribs and you're on your tippy toes looking over some guy's greasy head........and you get away fast because someone's got B O real bad...........GET IT???

but it's still the F**king mona lisa and I GOT TO SEE IT!!!!!!

todd's not your accountant. i won't tolerate mistakes from my accountant. if he's having a bad day, he goes home to his family, has a cookout, beer, advil, whatever and he comes back tomorrow and gets it right before anyone sees it. todd has bad days. maybe his accountant screwed up....but he still plays. and just like the mona lisa, i got to see him do it! we all can agree OH is one of the most gifted artists ever but he's not perfect. i'm sure da vinci had a few duds......how quick we are to forget all the joy. just last year he gave us liars when we already had more from a career than we would have dreamed of thirty years ago. i wasn't in california last night and if the show was "off" sure, i would have been disappointed.......have been before. but i've still found more enjoyment, fulfillment and enrichment in todd's work than i could've ever hoped for and consider myself priveleged any time i'm able to watch him perform.

there will be more.......and i hope i'm there

by the way, i saw him in st louis. there were bad reviews of that show as well. i thought he was great.

scott railey.......first show RA '77 :-)
