In the age of lip syncing 15 year old pop stars. A show like this is a
welcome change. Stripped down live music. Just like sitting around the
living room listening to Todd play. It is nice to see an artist have fun
and not take himself so seriously. I saw the St. Paul show (1,000 people
filled the Fitzgerald Theater). I will always appreciate a night out at a
nice venue to hear Todd. One of the main reasons I am a Todd fan is that
he takes risks, not many artists do anymore. He puts up his own money for
projects, employs people.
I think some people just don't get this show. It is an artsy theater type
show. The string quartet gives it an Elenor Rigby vibe. I respect Todd for
spending time on the road, at his age he could kick back and be a computer
programmer, or an in house studio guy at some big studio. He could be
doing a lot of things other that touring. Enjoy it while it lasts.
