My first impressions were that Todd and Joe both sang really well, and Ethel showed real personality (they moved their heads a lot ;^D ) But there was almost no low-end, especially from the guitar. With no bass player, I would think you could EQ that guitar nice and low and not interfere with the strings or vocals.

Love that polka dot vest. Is TR now wearing glasses all the time? I thought it was only when playing piano?

Great song choice, but you do miss something not hearing the full length solo in this song. And it isn’t “While My Viola Gently Weeps” either…. I wish TR would trade 8’s with them. Maybe part of the problem with that is getting a gtr tone that is worthy of a solo, but does not overpower the strings. Still, it is interesting hearing the strings solo, and they do it very well. It’s their showcase I guess.

At times Ethel sounded like one string player… shows how tightly they play in unison. I wish they would do more songs with this kind of arrangement, as it brings up so many possibilities. Maybe as the tour progresses they’ll add another tune to the closing numbers.
