Melbourne show

Isn't it nice to live in a perfect world?

Even tho' the show had an abundance of mistakes I still left feeling pretty good about the overall night.

A string quartet to open the show had my eyebrows in a raised position but I was impressed that some new ground was being broken. I enjoyed Joe's set but it was stiff. And Todd had the worst night I have ever seen him have.

For those of you who have never played on a stage in front of people, listen up. Monitors do make a huge difference in how you play. You can't do your best when you can't hear. After a while, when it obvious that the problem is not going to go away, the problem becomes damn annoying. But you soldier on and do what you can all the while looking forward to another night and hopefully correcting the problems that have occured.

Todd could have played it safer on opening night. Instead he went out on a limb a bit and it broke. I can't blame him for trying.

Will this one night keep me from going to another Todd show? Hell, no !! And those of you who have tics for future shows, don't fret. You are going to enjoy the night of music !

Long live Spinal Tap !
