Manchester, England

Made it up to Manchester in reasonable time despite delays on the train from London and took my seat awaiting another triumph having bored my family to death with how wonderful the London gig had been 3 days earlier.

Arrived at the gig to pick up my VIP Pass only to be told that there was none for me! After that disappointment took my seat and the opening bars of 'Truth' soon had me forgetting the VIP Pass problem. I've read some reviews complaining about the sound at this gig. I was at both the RFH and this gig and have to say I thought the sound was excellent at both. The Bridgewater Hall is purpose built to house the Halle Orchestra so the acoustics were superb. A lot of the people around me both at this gig and the London on semed pretty unfamiliar with the new stuff and were rather bemused at the set list. I thought the band were tight and Todds' vocals were as strong on both nights as I have heard. Enough has been written about the set list bit the stand out tracks for me were Liar, ISP and God Said from the first set and Past and a towering, soaring JOV to finish.

Agree with gripe about the merchandise. The T-shirt is pretty thin and will hardly last two washes!!

Don't leave it so long again please! You might even consider taking in Ireland!!!!!
