Norfolk, VA 5/9/04 Review

Todd and the Liars were in Great form in Norfolk. The Set list was very similar to what I've read so far on this tour including an interesting new twist to "Born To Synthesize". Also included: Truth, Sweet, God Said, Liar, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, I Hate My ISP, Feel It, Wondering, The Want of a Nail, Hello It's Me and Just One Victory and more.

If you go the show, don't expect to hear the old stuff, buy the new CD and get familiar with it first. The Religious costumes were a little strange and as Neal reported on his review, the religious content of some of these song is strange and a little sad. It's a shame that the wonderfully smooth sound and harmonies are clouded by somewhat sacrilegious lyrics. But back to the point, overall a very good performance, vocally and musically. By-the-way, they did not do the "Unloved Children/Love Science" thing you've read about earlier on the tour.
