Westhampton show 4/25

I have seen Todd on just about every tour going back to 1973 in Central Park. This was one of the most enjoyable shows that I've seen him do in quite some time. The energy of the band and the energy that Todd had for the material he performed made it so. I was delighted to hear songs that were not in danger of being done to death. I was delighted to hear Todd in peak form (despite mild lingering effects of the throat problem referred to in earlier tour postings). I was especially delighted to hear someone who I'd always respected for his artistry and worldview freely flaunting both. If you've ever looked at Todd as more than some sort of nostalgia act, see him on this tour, and remember why he touched you in the first place. All of this despite a pretty dead audience at this Westhampton gig.
