Turning Stone Casino - 4/22

Due to my ex having to schedule her Las Vegas vacation the same time as my 300 mile trip to see Todd and band at Turning Stone casino, i had the opportunity to take my two kids (Stephanie, 8 and David, 10) to their first concert!

We had a great trip, listening to the Liars CD, buying sunglasses, eating lousy Thruway stop food, just a great time. By the time we got there, they decided Happy Anniversary was their favorite. Mine is Stood Up. Sadly neither was played at the show.

The song list was still fantastic, including Liar and Mammon - two very powerfully driving songs off the new disc. I won't list every song played since you'll find that list in another review.

What a great set! The lighting in each band member's pod really added to the music. All 4 members, Prairie, Kasim, Jesse and John were excellent! Of course, whenever I see Kasim, I hope to hear Trapped........but not this time.

I was ecstatic to see Foamy on the set, because there is not a lot of solo guitar on Liars. When O.H. played, he rocked. He really let loose on While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

If you get the chance, go see this show. You'll be glad you did!

Happy Anniversary was still the most requested song on the ride home.
