I have read with both interest and dismay , the reviews of the recent Todd tour .

May I just state that , being someone from somewhere that has never had the opportunity to have witnessed Todd live , I still hunger to have been at one of these shows just to experience it .

That's not to water down the fact that these shows may have been whatever people state they were , it's just to say that as a long time fan living in Australia and never having had the chance to see Todd live and having to rely on recorded performances only , that you get the good with the bad and people , be grateful that you even get the chance to see these live performances .I never have.

If I'm raving on a bit , it's because Todd is special . Always has been and always will be. And he's not nearly human, he is human , and you get what you get and he's given a lot .

Hoping to hear some new works soon and hoping to oneday see a TODD RUNDGREN TOUR DOWN UNDER .

But wishing more than anything else , good wishes to Todd and happiness in his life . He's earnt it .

Regards to all Todd-ites

I just "caught up" with the reviews of the east coast solo shows. Wow. I'm completely blown away by some of the comments. They are so mean!

I wonder if this is some kind of reaction to the situation the world is in today? People are filled with distrust and angst. If these people who wrote the reviews want to make sure Todd stops performing for good, they are doing a great job. If I were Todd, I'd tell them all exactly where they could shove it all.

Having not attended the shows, I can't say for sure, but years of Todd concerts leave me with a pretty good idea of what the shows were all about. Why were people harping so much on the same issues--when Todd does not play the same songs, people jump all over him for disappointing them by not playing their favorites.

So what if he did the shows to make some cash? He is in the music business. That's what people with jobs do.

Roger, I just had to share these thoughts with you, because the reviews upset me so much. I don't want to think that Todd will retire on feelings of bitterness and anger. It isn't fair to him or to his loyal fans.

I hope that Todd has a chance to heal when he goes home, and that the balmy breezes of Hawaii give him the love and compassion that seemed to be sorely lacking in the past few weeks.

Thanks for letting me rant about this, Roger. I just couldn't hold it in.

Peace.

DID ANY OF YOU EVER HEAR THE SAYING "IF YOU DON'T HAVE SOME-THING NICE TO SAY, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL" ? I DON'T EXPECT FOR YOU TO LIE AND SAY THESE SHOWS WERE GOOD, BUT LETS GIVE THE GUY A BREAK, YOU TRY LIVING THAT LIFESTYLE FOR AWHILE [PLAYING EVERY TO EVERY-OTHER NIGHT] AND SEE IF YOU DON'T TIRE OF IT! I WISH TODD WELL, AND HOPE HE COMES TO TERMS WITH WHATEVER'S EATING AWAY AT HIM, SO HE CAN ONCE AGAIN ENJOY WHAT HE DOES, AND WE CAN SEE THAT HE'S ENJOYING IT TOO! AND LETS HOPE TODD DOESN'T END HIS CAREER ON THIS NOTE, AS SOME OF YOU MIGHT FEEL BADLY ABOUT THESE RECENT REVIEWS!! DEBBIE SMITH-STOKES
