HAMMER IN MY HEART THE SURF TALKS

WWE

ISP vocals are clear for the first time. chalk this up to better mixing and better sound system i guess. You can actually hear the lyrics. plus the band wasn't as loud at this venue as the last two.

PLAY THIS GAME has perfect vocals and great energy. Anahiem likes this. And they are ready for a rock show.

LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN has nice vocals again. however, 'take a dive'. it's too early for this song.

Todd notices that there are many empty seats. Like on airplanes and that by 9:15 the standby passengers should come down and fill up the seats. Large applause.

Then Todd yells 'we're going nuts here tonight, alright? so be prepared'

HIT ME LIKE A TRAIN is pretty decent. Though Todd stopped it after a few bars and said " we don't play this song that often that's why it feels so freakin' fast". I don't dislike this song but never took the time to pay attention. The lyrics are cool. Great timing for this song.

The empty seats in the house is still on Todd's mind. He then yells out "where's Keiko and Mari". They raise their hands with delight. "They're taking these seats right here in the front. They're leaving for Japan tomorrow". just as they are scrambling to get to the seats, an usher comes to our seats to tell karen and I that our seats have been double sold. i missed the rest of the commentary between Todd, Keiko and Mari, and Anahiem.

LOVE IN ACTION you go Anahiem!

It is evident we are in Anahiem. The crowd becomes more obnoxious as the night goes on. Todd is becoming less tolerant by the minute. Who are these people?

#1 Lear. Same with Todd's on this song. I just couldn't get enough of this song and was completely blown away by the purity and rock sound. It just couldn't get better. It was already at it's best!!!

THERE GOES MY INSPIRATION was interesting. It was electric and pretty good. But it wasn't in my mood space.

PLAY THIS GAME showed Todd's vocals to be in good shape tonight and was able to pretty much hit those notes that he always fails on in this song. This is a favorite song of mine.

#1 LCD i am speachless here. Kasim's bass was SMOKIN'!!!!! I can't explain it any better. And of course, OH was also smokin' on his guitar. So tight, so perfect, i could feel the steam coming off the guitar. I often get tired of the long drawn out part of this song, but this night, it had my attention from beginning to end without one distraction. OUTSTANDING!

LOVE IN ACTION i hate this song

CLICHE (see LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN)

Just before this next song, Todd made a comment about about the floor on the stage. "The floor is polished to a high sheen! And I don't mean that Charlie guy who's usually high". Then began his rap about the customs of becoming a Hawaii resident and the traditional Hawaiian songs. He then began to play this...

BANK THE UKE was really fun. This is a hard song to love after the radio ruined it, but in this style, it's totally dealable and catchy. during this song, todd mentioned to the audience that we were clapping like 'republicans'

YER FAST (& I LIKE IT was kind of cool. I'm not wild about the lyrics or the style of the melody, but when Todd goes into the short guitar solo, it completely got my attention. This one may have to grow on me.

TEMPORARY SANITY is always a good tune to throw in. I love the rap part. And of course it was right up to par with the rest of the performance this night

OPEN MY EYES what can i say? I think i had too high expectations. The tempo was slightly different than the version we're all familiar with and it sounded good. I just wasn't blown away. I'm hoping to be blown away CD gives a stellar performance.

THERE GOES MY INSPIRATION vocals are sweet, beat is off, tempo is too slow.

BLACK & WHITE is flawless again.

YER FAST (& I LIKE IT) It's good (& I like it)

This song has just helped pick up the momentum again.

TEMPORARY SANITY love the rap

IKON Anahiem is blown away. Kasim is looking totally bored. He takes a seat almost off stage and plays his bass. Trey's drum solo gets a huge applause and is well deserved.

OPEN MY EYES is getting better all the time. Anahiem didn't expect this one either. The Sun Theatre is rockin'. And for the first time I'm noticing Trey's drumming talents.

CLICHE Todd's vocals are getting tired now but doing an excellent job hiding it. He hit some really beautiful notes from time to time. Anahiem is raring to go and they are impressed.

BANG THE UKE is named Eugene. Todd is proud of it's name. Anahiem is attentive and quiet because they want to hear every little sound.

Todd talks to us "I'm trying to 'check the vibe' so i know what to play next". He chooses:

MYSTIFIED/BROKE DOWN & BUSTED/MYSTIFIED i am not in the mood for this. By now I am realizing that this set list is too funky for me. It doesn't jive together.

CIJTY is the highlight of the night. Not only is it rocking like crazy, the boys decide to do their 'leg dance' like in the 80's and Kasim slips on his bass cord and lands flat on his ass. Todd is hysterical and Kasim is a good sport through his embarrassment. But they kept playing, even while Kasim was on the floor. Excellent! Just excellent.

BUFFALO GRASS Nice

ONE WORLDeveryone is dancing around and clapping.

HAMMER IN MY HEART is really working. Anahiem is so pleased once again. They want to hear this.

THE SURF TALKS was also well received. Crowd isn't too familiar with the song, but welcomes it with open arms.

WWE vocals are so clear tonight and it's evident in this song. Anahiem is wild.

The crowd goes home happy, I'm sure of it
