Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band tour hit Boise on Thursday night (3/11/99) and life will never be the same for many Idahoans. Since no one else has given their feedback... I guess I will.

I won tickets to the show from the local oldies station (Kool 104.3 FM) - poor college student ya know - went with my friend Loretta. Seats weren't so great but we had a BLAST! There is nothing like seeing lots of over-40ers rockin' out to the sounds of this astounding group of "old farts!" I had my doubts about the show when Ringo made his appearence on stage - he "sounded" old... but, as the show rolled on EVERYONE seemed to drop about 20 years off their age (even Ringo)!! But I was there for one reason only - Todd Rundgren. For years there are certain Todd tunes that have special meanings for me, plus, I love ALL of his music, etc. Having never seen him live before I got a big kick out of his antics and marveled at his complete ease with the mega-ego of Ringo Starr. Everyone on that stage revealed that, they may be getting older, but they are not dried up - they all were stunning and brought everyone back to another time. In spite of the lousy seats, I did manage to make it down to the stage to pass a note off to Todd. At first he was saying, "Give it to Ringo..." But hell, I pointed straight at him and said, "This is for YOU!!!"... he took my card... I was in heaven. After the show, it was fun to watch people literally bouncing out of the arena, full of a youth they quite possibly haven't had in twenty years or so. Myself included.

peace,
denise
