Largest Collection On The Globe of Todd Rundgren Audio Rarities

Greetings Audio Toddheads! Warren H. (Atlanta, GA. USA) here. Tony Rogers and I have transferred our entire audio collections over to my home in 2008. We (Tony & I) thought my circumstances (A 62 year old, single, IT specialist/Audio Editor guy in Atlanta with lots of Todd Rundgren history/archival collecting since 1972) would be ideal for taking over the 'Library' in all its glory. And, so an 'incorporation' of his and my colossal collections takes place! I now curate this ‘museum’. And I plan to share much of this, just as Tony did all these decades. And yes, I’m somewhat of a Todd Rundgren Historian. I have been 'following' Todd extensively (in all forms of media) ever since I saw (and met) him here at an Historic Show at Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox Theatre on November 8 1973. So I know 'enough'. Please note that I say share my enthusiasm. No buying or selling. Nor will a penny exchange hands. Never.
I want to say a big THANK YOU in advance to all of you who are going to help and have helped with this so far. I’ll do my best. Write me anytime. twarrenh@gmail.com
Just scroll down to the items listed below by period and click on any year to browse the collection.
We've also recently been working in collaboration with my friend Frank Bubnick and his well known vast quality collection (you can visit his list by clicking on his name). Some of his editing is unequaled anywhere.
And some late breaking neat news : I believe most of you are familiar with the JEMS group. A bunch of super collectors for many bands’ audience recordings (predominate though are Yes and Springsteen). Well known for their re-mastering prowess and quality. They’ve been in contact with me for a couple of years, and in December of last year offered me all their (originals) Todd Rundgren Collection. They just didn’t have the resources or the time for refining anything by Todd Rundgren. It just wasn’t on their timeline. I received all their cassettes (60) within a few weeks! Most of them are MASTER tapes from the original Taper. They will be sending me all their DATs and Reels at a later date. I will be listing all these recordings here, as I digitally transfer them. With this addition of the JEMS collection I believe these Todd Rundgren Archives are easily the largest collection on the planet.
How do we share you ask? Well, Just for what it's worth, we really don't do the 'snail mail trading' (by postal) much these days. So, if you would like me to share or trade any of this 'Catalog' with you, it would be more convenient/easiest to share in the form of on-line file transfer. Generally, in .flac format, compressed to .zip or .rar for smoother/faster quality exchange [depending upon the size of the audio file(s) we might be exchanging of course]. Hope that all makes sense. I can work with you on 'all that'. Again, write me, and then we'll come to an agreement of sorts. Please keep in mind, that anything that is 'Official', or 'Professionally Marketed', or still available for 'Retail' purchase is not of consideration. Nor is there any monetary means of transaction.
I do not have any rights to, and I am not open for sharing any material that may be listed below that has been commercially or officially released and is still available retail. (It may be listed below for collection listing purpose only). I do not take or give any money for a single item below either. I do not take away any proceeds that are due to Todd Rundgren, family, friends, business or supporting/associated musicians. If it is ROIO (recording of independent origin), then I'm open to share. Support the artist! Go buy his stuff where and whenever available! Speaking of which; an ultimate place to find/buy Todd's releases and imports & rarities is TRBAZAAR. Check it out! If Scott ain't got it, nobody does...just about! And of course many past official CD/DVD releases and proprietary Todd merchandise is readily available for ordering on-line at The Toddstore. So check them out for sure.
I like to give credit where credit is due too. So please forgive me if I do not credit the right persons involved in making these recordings available/possible for all these years.
I’ll start a ‘Credits’ list here below, and maintain it on down the road. Like to make sure all the folks involved are appreciated. For now, let me go ahead and thank some folks that have really been instrumental in these archives (no particular order): Tony Rogers (of course), Mike Armes, Jeff Gauss 'Weavil' (RIP), Frank Bubnick, Paul Russo, Hiroshi Kawauchi, Istvan Berzenczei, Sara Kritzer, Barry Beiseigel, Marc Linowitz, Rob 'Lockjaw' Levangie, Roger Steel, Mike Adrian, Gil Ireland-Ashley, Jim Farrell, Dale Michelsohn, Gary Urwin, Don B., Bob Stanislowski (RIP), Micheal B., Jon Risen, Jon Babcock, Mark Wilpolt, Tom Cannon, Lin Sprague, Joe Franks, Chris 'Razz', Geoff (& Rick) Laurenzo, Ted Moon, Richard Roys, Storm Hunter, Moz (Mike), Sohta Fujito, David Skye, Allen Law, Matt Walsh, Kevin Lewis, Doug Ford, Dave Knife, JEMS, Jared Houser, Gene Poole, 'Elegymart', Gail Artsgard, Victor Baissait, Connor Payne and players to be named later. Special thanks to Roger Linder for providing this page space for us for decades. Let's Rock!
BTW, I call this group of people 'My Cartel'. However, I have given the group a Media name: F451 Media (as in 451 Farenheit). It is not a brand name, for nothing of mine is for sale or has been sold EVER. It is a logo for these dedicated Todd Rundgren Collectors , which most of been doing this since the early 90s (and even earler). Our logo is:

Note:The first audience or Pro recording that we have from 1994 and the NWO Tour (which began October 20 1993). Just now got around to transferring it to digital from my old cassettes. Another one recorded with my infamous Sony Walkman with an extra mic (as I did the Atlanta 1977, 1978, 1980, 1985 & 1987 Shows). This one didn't fare as well due to the venue (Yeah Warren, blame it on the venue). The venue was basically just an old big concrete floored dance/banquet metal building/hall...used by locals (Norcross GA) for Shriners and Hispanic gatherings. Those of you that are familiar with this tour, know that a majority of the shows were just the 'pod' centered in the arena. And all the audience was general admission 'standing'... as was this case...a lot of shoulder to shoulder bumping and shoving to get closer to Todd and the 'pods' gizmos, toys and props (as opposed to enjoyment of the music). I don't want to review the performance because it's awkwardness and my disapointment. The quality of the recording is what I would call 'fair' at best.Just for those 'completest' collectors of us.~ Warren
8/13/94 WOODSTOCK II SAUGERTIES NY 3:00PM SHOW AUDIENCE (DIGITAL XFER WARREN) 40:00
Date Added:7/16/2012
Track List:INTRO. FEVER BROKE. PROACTIVITY. FACIST CHRIST. INTERNATIONAL FEEL. SECRET SOCIETY. NO WORLD ORDER.
Note:Last day of the Woodstock II event. Don't know who the taper was, but not a bad job. And they persistent to capture this whole day (four shows). These recordings are a straight dub from the cassettes...no EQing or anything. We didn't think they need it. They're strong, a little distortion in spots from level peeks and a little fiddling with the mics can be heard. And of course there's lots of audience yap...but that's what the ToddPod was all about. Nice audience offering and real keepers for posterity. This 3:00PM show may be the most distortion out of the bunch. Not annoying though.~ Warren
8/13/94 WOODSTOCK II SAUGERTIES NY 6:00PM SHOW AUDIENCE (DIGITAL XFER WARREN) 48:00

They're strong, a little distortion in spots from level peeks and a little fiddling with the mics can be heard. And of course there's lots of audience yap...but that's what the ToddPod was all about. Nice audience offering and real keepers for posterity. This 6:00PM Show was the longest out of the bunch, thus more (great) selection of tunes. You'll hear him in a couple of places taking requests! We all know that's rare, but maybe not so much for the NWO Tour audience participations. Todd's vocals are exceptional here and when picks up 'foamy' he's smokes it.~ Warren

Note:Last day of the Woodstock II event. Don't know who the taper was, but not a bad job. And they persistent to capture this whole day (four shows). Nice audience offering and real keepers for posterity. At this last 12:00AM show, He says at the beginning, "...don't worry, we'll get you out of here in time for Aerosmith so you can hear a the dude dressed like a lady..."Probably the lesser quality of the four shows. This time, TR's mics are too close to his mouth (what it sounds like to me it's almost in his mouth) I think. So I don't think it's the tapers machine.TR is smokin' on the guitar here (as usual) for Proactivity and Black & White. No World Order cuts out, so we don't know if that was the last tune. Very short set if it was. But these are all ESSENTIAL.~ Warren

As deep and informative as it gets...the interviewer gets his money's worth and much more...find out where Todd is at in 1994...this is an alltimer here and ranks among the most and best interviews ever....this is ESSENTIAL to everyones collection of Todd stuff. 9/23/94 AMSTERDAM HOLLAND Bevrs Van Berlage ISTVAN (FM RADIO BCAST) 63:17
Date Added:5/1/2006
Track List:INTRO. IF I DIDNT TRY (FADE IN). SHOW. FASCIST CHRIST (END WEIRDS OUT). LOVE THING. BANG THE DRUM ALL DAY. END. INTERVIEW. SCHOOL DAYS. INTERVIEW. INTERNATIONAL FEEL. SECRET SOCIETY. BLACK AND WHITE
Note:FM broadcast from Europe that has been overlooked by me for sure...this is high quality top notch, but is diced up a bit..you really only get the end of the show mostly but it is a nice short interview and some great fun with the guest solo portion of the show which happened in Europe only...super stuff from Istvan
9/24/94 AMSTERDAM HOLLAND "AN EVENING WITH TODD RUNDGREN" DUTCH FM BROADCAST 69:39
Track List:INTRO. FEVER BROKE (FAST). DAY JOB. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY (RIFF). PROPERTY. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY. CLICHE'. WHAT'S GOING ON/MERCY MERCY ME. ONE WORLD. DAY JOB (AUDIENCE PARTICPATION). NO WORLD ORDER. DON'T YOU EVER LEARN?. IF I DIDN'T TRY.
Note:From a long 3 FM tape set from Denmark, spotlighting TR's music throughout his career in Dutch... within this, the above portions of the Euro-NWO show were taped for rebroadcast. this is the best quality you will get of Dont You Ever Learn and If I Didn't Try on this tour... Cliche' is shimmering..as well as all the acoustic songs. His guitar playing on DYEL and IIDT is dead on and innovative as hell. Too bad it was edited some. ESSENTIAL
10/7/94 BBC THE FORUM LONDON MOSTLY RADIO BROADCAST MATERIAL 89:59:47
Date Added:11/9/2015
Track List:INTRO/TIME STOOD STILL. WORLDWIDE EPIPHANY. PROPERTY. BREAK. FASCIST CHRIST. DAY JOB. TUTORAL. NO WORLD ORDER. LOST HORIZON (INSTRUMENTAL). PROACTIVITY. FEVER BROKE. INTERNATIONAL FEEL.SECRET SOCIETY. CHANT. THERE GOES MY INSPIRATION. LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN. TINY DEMONS. BANG ON THE DRUM.
Note:This supreme rarity was done by a very good friend of mine (that shall remain nameless). He worked feverishly on it. It was culled from the 1994-10-07 BBC Broadcast and various other sources that someone may still hold the rights to. So this could very well not be shared and is for the time being it is entered here solely for archival purposes. It is not to be confused with 1994-10-06 London Forum show which appears on 2002 Sanctuary Records Group Series VOl 1CMEDD5559 and is still available at some on-line retail site (at a very expensive price I might add). Go buy it. Support the Artist. It is a very different setlist. But most of you Toddheads already own it.
This piece provided to me is an excellent editing and the sound is marvelous. A real showcase of the ToddPod, the action and the fun. I am very proud to have been included to put it in these ‘Archive’. WOW. Should at some time this be ‘tradeable’ you be the first to knoe~ Warren
