| 1986 | XTC- SKYLARKING DEMOS | SOURCE FROM CASSETTE | 56:50 |
| Track List:SUMMER'S CAULDRON. DEAR GOD. THE TROUBLES. BALLEET FOR A RAINY DAY. LET'S MAKE A DEN. SEASON CYCLE. CHALK HILLS (NOT CH AND CHILDREN). TERRORISM. LITTLE LIGHTHOUSE. 1000 UMBRELLAS. GANG WAY. EXTROVERT. OBSCENE PROCESSION. MERMAID SMILED BOUNS TRACKS: TR DEMOS: FIDELITY. PARALLEL LINES. Note:Bobbo helped me again to get this one- came from someone who may have been involved. This is a copy of a tape that TR got when he came up with the running order. You can really hear TRs influence on these as these are radically changed in places. if anyone has apple venus 1 and the demo release there is much more in common between those than these version and what ended up on skylarking. fascinating stuff for fans of this masterpiece. |

| 1986 | "UP AGAINST IT" THE ORIGINAL UNALTERED DEMOS | CASSETTE (TIMOTHY SMITH) | 71:34 |
| Date Added:10/22/2001 Track List:WHEN WORLDS COLLIDE. PARALLEL LINES. FREE MALE AND 21. THE SMELL OF MONEY. IF I HAVE TO BE ALONE. UP AGAINST IT. LOVE IN DISGIUSE. YOULL THANK ME IN THE END. MAYBE IM BETTER OFF. FROM HUNGER. WE UNDERSTAND EACH OTHER. ENTROPY. FINALE BONUS TRACKS: NH DEMOS- PARALLEL LINES. FIDELITY (BOTH TR DEMOS). Note:through the idea of larry clark and the home deck of mr smith, we come up with a cd of what we had before todd decided to spruce these up before the official pony canyon official release. Dont expect same quality as the official but as all hardcore collectors know, the tr demos have never been available in pristine quality-there is an annoying hiss in all of them. This is the cleanest ive heard em. Even though i had this done to respond to what larry wanted, tim didnt index the tracks but as im said, they sound better than they have before-so for those who wnat to pick out what was changed side-by-side, this is required for those purposes. For those who just wnat the music, clearly the official "retouched" version on PC is the way to go. |

| 1986 | CRIME STORY 2 CDS (ENTIRE 2 EPISODES TR DID MUSIC FOR TV SHOW) | ISTAVAN-DIGITAL SOURCE | 57:56/38:04 |
| Date Added:4/7/2006 Track List:CD ONE: 41 TOTAL EDITS CD TWO: 15 TOTAL EDITS Note:this is an amazing document that finally shows the work that todd did for the tv show in 1986-i dont think anyone has ever revealed that there are at least 2 themes that were later revisited on the 2nd wind album..these are a portion of the verse of change myself..and kindness -which is almost complete. todd has said he wrote kindness for his grandmother..it must mean lyrically.. there were no vocals on this piece and it does sound a but different arrangement wise when compared to the end product on 2nd wind..one other thing that is obvious on this is the scarcity of trs music...as todd said-the sdtrck was peppered with oldies. there is also an action tom-tom based drum theme that dominates the first episodes action scenes.....like i say, there is very little here but we do get some of what would become 2nd wind, 5 years before the release here |

| 12/7/86 | NEW HAVEN TOAD'S PLACE | AUDIENCE SOURCE | 74:41 |
| Track List:PLAY THIS GAME. CLICHE'. TOO FAR GONE. IT WOULDN'T HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. SONG OF THE VIKING. MATED. LOVE IN ACTION. THE SMELL OF MONEY. BORN TO SYNTHESIZE. PARALLEL LINES. CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS?. LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN. LYSISTRADA. HONEST WORK. COMPASSION. ONE WORLD. LOVE IS THE ANSWER. A DREAM GOES ON FOREVER. Note:two week wonder tour. i basically scoured my collection for the best sound quality there was and i came up with this 1st show of the tour. he was a bit scattered and even forgot cwsbf which caused a rushed lcm and lysistrada but this recording is the premiere performance of both smell of money and parallel lines. tr even apologizes for his lack of organization at the end of the show. i have another tape from this venue with a few additions to the set list so maybe there were two shows that night. a decent audience recording from awhile back now... |

| 12/30/86 | CHICAGO PARK WEST 2CDS | AUDIENCE (TRANS BY SARA K) | ----/---- |
| Date Added:4/7/2005 Track List:CD ONE: PLAY THIS GAME. CLICHE'. TOO FAR GONE. IT WOULDNT HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. SONG OF THE VIKING. MATED. LOVE IN ACTION. THE SMELL OF MONEY. BORN TO SYNTHESIZE. PARALLEL LINES . CAN WE STILL BE FRIENDS?. CD TWO: LOVE OF THE COMMON MAN. LYSISTRADA. HONEST WORK. COMPASSION. DRIVE. ONE WORLD. LOE IS THE ANSWER. JUST ONE VICTORY (CUTS) Note:sara going to town on the archive stuff. a nice and somewhat forgotten show the night before the first drunk show we have...you get a 1986 p lines, 2 acapella tunes live (synth and work)..sound is actually better than most audies from the period..not on par with the best stuff we have soundwise, but may be the best performance from 86 (2 week wonder)..yes there is really not much yap for a holiday show..but a really very nice selection. we're trying to protect these tapes from fading away..Sara's found the best of em from my tape collection and is moving em on up to cd res..this one is pretty decent tape to find that hadnt yet been transferred, not on par w/ sdbd but pretty nice very solid audie all in all-very enjoyable show/performance, makes it one to have even if you have 12/31. |

| 12/31/86 | CHICAGO PARK WEST | SOUNDBOARD SOURCE (APPEARS EDITED) | 73:06 |
| Track List:INTRO. PLAY THIS GAME. CLICHE'. TOO FAR GONE. IT WOULDN'T HAVE MADE ANY DIFFERENCE. SONG OF THE VIKING. THE SMELL OF MONEY. ONE WORLD. LOVE IS THE ANSWER. JUST ONE VICTORY. BONUS TRACKS: 12/29/86 MINNEAPOLIS WCCO INTERVIEW W/ TR, 12/16/86 PHILADELPHIA WYSP INTERVIEW W/ TR Note:a chicago nye show which is purported to be the late show.. and todd is drunk for sure. this cd is not for those who wish a perfect performance but this really is enjoyable (comedy-wise).. tr begins the show annoucing " he would take for granted that everyonme n the audience is as f***d up as he is", tr has a penchant for the f word ("if youd like ill be your f****n viking"), talks about $35. a show (in 86!), talks about how Reagan was proved to be a liar.. when someone says todd is godd, he replies "godd is drunk", refers to "pee wee's crackhouse".. just really a fun time and amazing how much he laughs through it.. not for everyone and not meant to demean tr's name.. just a fun cd for those who can take the joke... people say the late 87 san rafael show was the drunk show but this one he was pretty far gone...he does a great version of LITA before he leaves the stage.. no celebration as tr goes from smell of $ to one world (i cant hear the edit but my longer audience tape shows it must be a partial only) the the bonus tracks are period interviews (decent length) from the two week wonder tour. |
