|4/25/74||THE FOX THEATER ATLANTA GA||FM LP SOURCE (WARREN)||63:00|
Track List:UTOPIA. DON'T YOU EVER LEARN. EVERYBODY'S GOING TO HEAVEN/KING KONG REGGAE. SONS OF 1984. OPEN MY EYES. BLACK MARIA. THE LAST RIDE. SLUT.COULDN'T I JUST TELL YOU.
Note:From 'DJ Promo Copy Not For Sale vinyl' w/o any groove noise - a classic from Warren's vaults. From a 96mHz 'first time/virgin needle drop' of the vinyl. Of course there are numerous tapes, boot CDs, boot LPs and torrents of this out there in circulation now. Most all very good. But we like this particular glorious sound vinyl drop the best. And it's void the Commercial Spots. ESSENTIAL~ Tony
* There's always been so much confusion about this Show . 1973 or 1974? The 80s version of Retro Rock FM (with Commercial Breaks and with announcer Meg Griffin) even says "it's a concert from 1973".
When I talked to Todd this year at the 2018 Atlanta Reunion Show, he wasn't of much help clarifying this. However, In a chat with Ralph Schuckett back in 2011 (Center Stage Atlanta Reunion Show), he told me that this is definitely the last set of the 1974-04-24 Fox Theater Atlanta GA.
Yes, I know that the Official WhooHooLive and Rockbeat (CD & Vinyl) releases are titled 'Atlanta 1973', for they got the audio from me (and Studio Professionals Re-mastered the Music). At the time (a couple or three years ago) my File to them was Titled 1973. Mainly because at both Shows I sat next to the 'On Remote' recording technicians. And of course my name is all over their (official Releases) credits. So I'm very instrumental in them being titled wrong. So shoot me. Please shoot me. ~ Warren

This is a fine recording and well worth a listen. Thanks to the taper (Wes) for capturing this show and sending me the DAT master”.
Wes’s (taper) notes: “The mics and DAT recorder were borrowed, from another taper, (but doesn't recall what type of mics were used).’The mics were tiny, that fit into my hat’.”

Note:Wonderful audience recording by my buddy Jon! We had to wait 5 years for him to give us this one. Jon admits, “all a little too far away, but unobstructed.” We’ll work on that at a later date, but the recording is a splendid listen! The ‘rgrove’ (less complete) audience recording, also listed here, is a stronger recording, however. These Orchestrations with Todd are all ESSENTIAL. An opportunity for us to really enjoy his incredible vocal prowess. And we again, get rarities like ‘Wailing Wall’ and ‘We Gotta Get You A Woman’.~ Warren

Note:This is from Todd's Stand (again) at The Notre Dame DeBartolo Theatre' for the Students 'Play Like A Champion' (Pre-Pep Rally). The Audio is Pro of course. All tunes are great…hard to pick what was best. But my favorite highlights are ‘No World Order’ (with Bree Connor really doing some RAP!), ‘That Could Have Been Me’ (enchanting vocals by Teagan Early) and ‘Paradise By The Dash Board Light (Many of the Student Singers playing the ‘parts’).The Student Musicians are the back up, and sometime 'Main Act'. We know that they performed 18 songs and we have ten of them (and more added every now and then). ESSENTIAL! The song list was as follows:

Note:Audio capture from Ann Sunde's Fan Film. It strange that the vocals are muffled on some tunes , for she was up front and in their face. I was able to EQ this & bring out the Vocals on most songs. Many of the performances are partial. Some of this is not so good, some is OK and the more complete songs are great. Actually it was Angelo Moore who stole this show (all his tunes came out wonderful and so did much of Todd's performances). This is very listenable and very cool~ Warren

DONT BOGART THAT JOINT.ONE WORLD.
Note:An nice audience recording by our friend Clayton Call (my favorite photographer in all the world). All I did was some EQing and brought everything kind of up front and in your face. Just put on some headphones, and pull up a lounge chair at the front the stage at the ToddStock Camp 2018. Thank you Clayton for sharing this with me! This is ESSENTIAL! ~ Warren Clayton says, "The mic was just to Todd's right, so there's a little too much Jesse. I raised the right channel about 3-4 db, but it might need 2-3 db more boost on the right to get a little more vocals. It's a "field recording," and it has it's limitations. The mix gets better on stage as the set goes on. I have audio from the two video cameras that could be combined to make a decent Matrix recording.......the stage was in between two redwoods. The forest canopy created a natural slap-back reverb effect, especially on the snare drum..."
*2018-10-29 Important Update! As I made mention, besides an audio recording with a Mic on Stage, Clayton also Filmed the Show. After hearing my mix, he decided to Re-master a recording by Matrix with stage audio & his film audio. It's definitely a different end product. It's in his MP3s. WOW! Same track list. Thanks so much to Clayton!~ Warren

Now THIS is more like it! My Buddy Jon Babcock's audience Recording. All I did was split the tracks and a little EQ, to bring out Vocals. This by far is the best recording of this Show I have ever heard! And THANK JON! Almost like a Soundboard (I know I use that term a lot...but I'm just sayin') ESSENTIAL~ Warren

Todd & The Drunken Blue Roosters played in four Various Venues during his stand in Australia for the Todd-A-Roo (Toddstock in Australia) Fan Celebration. And much of it was wonderfully Fan Filmed by 'macaak'.'International Feel' was caught by 'CURTAIN', and 'Long Flowing Robe' by Robert Panuska. I ripped the audio of all the Videos, I did a little EQing and tried to bring everything more up front. Most turned out amazingly (I think), except 'Bleeding' and 'Crystal Ball' are a little rough. The Set below was the same for all the shows. We're only missing 'Let's Do This' (not filmed), but we got almost the whole set! ~ Warren !
Davey Lane's Drunken Blue Roosters are: Davey - guitar, Brett “Wolfie” Wolfenden - drums, Tony Featherstone - keys & Luke Hodgson, bass
