WOW! Another great concert by the master himself, Todd Rundgren. Our trip to Atlanta from Augusta brought us to the Roxy too early, so we decided to go over to Rio Bravo and watch the Florida vs. Florida St. game. It wasn't until we got into the concert that we realized some of the folks from Rio Bravo were hand picked there and were allowed to sit on the stage during the entire concert. I wish I would have realized what was happening while I was there at Rio Bravo! The concert started about 20 minutes late, but definitely worth the wait. All band members without Todd started out playing Caravan. The stage was set up as though we were at a Hawaiian Lounge. Then thunderous applause as Todd comes out. Todd performed three sets including the following songs:

Set 1 (bosa nova style)
I saw the light
Influenza
Can we still be friends
It wouldn't have made any difference
Love is the answer
Fidelity
Espresso

Set 2 (performed as if I were listening to the album; perfect!)
Individualist
Eastern Intrigue (about 15 minutes long)
Lost horizon
Can't stop running
Zen Archer
Hello it's me (bosa nova version)

Set 3 (Todd plays first two songs solo)
Love of the common man
Tiny Demons
Born to Synthesize (a dueling banjos type which accidentally turns into Happy Together by the Turtles!)
I'm so proud
La la means I love you
Never never land (From this song to the end, all bosa nova)
I want you
A dream goes on forever

The concert was pretty much set up just as the other reviews have stated, except I thought the comedian after set one was funny as hell!

All in all, the concert was great and I am looking forward to seeing him again soon! Don't miss this tour! You will kick yourself later if you do!

Bye all,
Jim Fahrion
