Hey all -- it's David and Tracy here with our review of 2 TR Global shows; Portland, OR and Seattle, WA.

First, we recommend this show. We also recommend that you listen to Global in heavy rotation for a good number of days and weeks in advance of the show.

Like most Todd records, this one takes some time to sink-in. The first listen or 2 we both were not particularly impressed, in fact I wasn't sure I liked it that much aside from a song or two but the more I listened to it, the more I "got it" and then became completely hooked and addicted, listening to it every chance I got. Same happened to Tracy. Talked to Mel of Rundgren Radio at the Portland show, she concurred that it took about 5 listens before liking and then actually loving the record.

The light show, the backup vocals, Dam-Funks' tribute opening song, the 2 female dancers, Todd belting out song after song -- all in all this show is a ton of fun. We would see this show again in a heartbeat. It's a real treat to see The Great Todd Rundgren out there working hard and doing his thing, being the artist he is and has been.

As other's noted (I recommend reading Rob from LA's review of the Hollywood show at the Roxy) it's great to see a True American Treasure (stole that from Dam-Funk, but it's just true) here all these years later still giving his all in every performance.

I'll end this review here for brevity's sake, but if you're reading reviews and wondering if you should go see Global, I strongly encourage you to go. We went to 2 shows in 2 nights in 2 States (only a 3 hour drive apart) and we're glad we did. Listen to Global in heavy rotation so you're well-prepared to enjoy this show to the fullest!
