I went to the out door venue at around 2 pm so I could take in the inspiring views of the original Woodstock Festival location , that has been preserved for 4 decades. I went to the Woodstock Festival Museum on location and really was inspired by the footage of all the great acts that had played in 1969 . In a what became a odd series of events I exited the museum into the gift shop at the same time that Todd Rundgren and Ringo Starr were in the gift shop with the rest of the band . It lasted about 6 minutes but as a flurry of people began to come into the gift shop Ringo began to leave . I had the chance to shake Todds hand and say hello to Ringo and Steve Lukather and Greg Jollie . We followed the band out to the golf carts and they were whisked away. Todd was in great spirits as were the rest of the guys. Ringo was very vocal and funny. Ringo mentioned the visit during the show. Ringo gave me the peace sign and said "Peace and Love , Peace and Love "

Some of the songs were Hello its Me ,I Saw The Light, Bang On The Drum by Todd. Ringo did , With A Little Help, Yellow Sub, Act Naturally, Boys, Photograph and much more . Greg Rollie did Santana greats - Black Magic Woman , Evil Ways and more.. Steve Lukather did Totos greats , Rossana , Africa and Hold the Line and more ... Mr . Mr. songs Kerie' and Broken wing were also what I like to cal part of the SONIC BLISS of the night. Todd Played Bass Guitar on a song as well. The combination of "session player " and " virtuoso rockers" were emanating from all the players. So my point is these are all skilled studio session greats who also have achieved the level of commercial notoriety and viability to give the band a a added an extra edge. Then layered on top of that is a chemistry that I did not see as much in any of the other incarnations of the Ringo Allstars of previous years . This group was developing there own "sound" as opposed to the super group collaboration format. That my personal take , no offence to the previous tours as I thought they were great as well. The crowd was singing at the top of their lungs when the band broke into John Lennons Give Peace A Chance as a show stopping encore . They did not stop screaming for more for more than 8 minutes after the band left the stage. Todd had his Foamy guitar and the Fool guitar and the black Acoustic guitar he used on several previous shows including the New Cars(I think) . He also had gold Timbale Drums and matching Gold Sneakers.
