The Todd 2012 Sinus Infection Tour. Desperately seeking Sine-Aid. Todd was still in the process of recovering from his illness. Todd explained at the beginning of the show that this tour was a collection of songs that they would play if they took requests, but they don't take requests. When he spoke to the audience you could really tell he had nasal congestion. When he performed the songs he sounded fine. Sign of the consumate professional that Todd is. You learn to sing through your cold and not get the nose involved in the vocal delivery. The only time the congestion seemed to affect his voice was when he sang Lucky Guy. He made it through Hawking with no problems too. One would think that if you are suffering from upper respiratory congestion, that you would play more guitar-based, instrumental tunes. No, Todd stuck to his vocal-heavy setlist and soldiered on. The band featured Todd on guitar/vocals, Jesse Gress on guitar, Prarie Prince on drums, Kasim Sultan on bass, and John Ferenzik on keyboards . Kasim, Jesse, & John gave the back-up vocals a little more energy & volume which helped. I thought Buffallo Grass, Determination, and Drive were particularly strong. Great show. Always good to see Todd. Here's the setlist:
Real Man
Love of the Common Man
Buffalo Grass
Todd's Johnson Blues
Determination
Lucky Guy
Can We Still Be Friends
