Ronnie Scott's gig review

I'm not sure which gig the other reviewers were at? The one I was at was great -- and as I was stood right at the back by the exit I can tell you without doubt no-one left before the end (of the second set).

Todd changed the set list quite soon in, and from then on we seemed to have song choices based on TR's mood and response to audience shouts. And I think the gig was all the better for it. Ronnie Scott's is a very intimate gig. And I think TR's decision to mess around with the crowd and the set reflected that. The result was watching a set in which great musicians played some great stuff 'on the hoof' as it were. Black Maria. Couldn't I just tell you. Soul Brother. The Nazz' Open My Eyes. Class stuff, some great guitar, intimate atmosphere. Nice.
