Can't Knock Knoxville!

Just the right size place to enjoy TR. The Bijou is one of those older restored theatres. A server told me before the show she had always been a Todd fan- but not seen him perform. Couldn't wait to hear all the songs she had listened to on the radio. Hhhhhmmmmmm...

Southpaw and I made the trip from Birmingham to catch the TR show as well as Mother Nature's colorful show in the Smokies. WOW! on both accounts.

Having preordered Arena and getting about a week's worth of listening added to the enjoyment of the evening. The band, the group, ALL make this show work. After a couple of glances over the shoulder, they're off into a complete replay of the new material. Nice.

PP makes 'the beat' in classic precision. RH is very comfortable as KS (does that make sense?). KS is everywhere, providing vocal support, keyboard, background guitar. JG is just his usual, crafty, monster electric guitar authority.

TR drives this group up 'rock mountain', with the audience hanging on as passengers for a rythmic journey along a twisting, mountain road paved with musical follie.

Foot on the gas Mr. Rundgren - more, more.
