One of the great things about going to a Todd concert is getting to see and talk to old and new friends with everyone ready to hear some great music that has been part of our lives for so long. The other thing is not knowing exactly what that music will be or how it's going to be delivered. This time was just no frills straight up Todd rock and roll. The songs were a great representation from various eras of Todds' career. It was refreshing that he decided to forgo the many obvious choices that could have been in the set to play some other music. Maybe even slipped in a new song, I'm not sure. I took two, they were small.
This is a great band. Todds' solos were blazing all night and those primal scream sessions really paid off in the heat of the moment , excellent ! Kasims' bass was the heaviest I've ever heard, only now and then overdriving the songs but fit in with the spirit of the show. So cool to hear Trapped. Jessie is the perfect compliment on guitar with a really cool selection of guitars to go along with it, and Prairie Prince is one of my fave drummers because he plays it rock steady. In the age of ipods and downloads Todd brings it full circle and proves that live music is still the best !!!
