You know, if you've seen numerous TR shows over the years, how there are always parts during certain songs that make you clench? Like the part of Mystified where he always forgets the line, or in Hawking or Drive, where he can't quite hit that note? None of that happened last night. None. His voice was smooth as silk, his playing was flawless. Tony was fun to watch, and Jesse rocked as always; very entertaining seeing him jump all over the stage, a bit more free than in previous TR tours.

Set list was the same as AC only no Temporary Sanity or WWE which were my only disappointments. Lunatic Fringe is a great song with the band behind it, I found it a snore during the Liars tour. The other cover, The Walls Came Down, was a boppy 80's throwback which made me wonder. Anyone know if TL was with Peter Gabriel in the 80's? I saw PG at Forest Hills stadium in the summer of '83 for the Plays Live tour and the Call opened. Walls Came Down was the only song anyone in the audience knew, so there was a bit of deja vu there.

And for the ladies, Todd looks great. Thin, healthy, no puffy, he had regular eyeglasses on, not sunglasses, so you could see the blues.

lovely night.
