No Birmingham show this time so made the hour long journey over to Leicester. Following the impressive Ethel, Joe Jackson did a great set - every song delivered note perfect and with passion ("Steppin Out" was sublime). Will certainly be dusting off and adding to my JJ collection. Second half and on comes Todd to enthusiastic applause. I suppose I'm biased but as this was only my fourth time of seeing Todd after nearly 30 years of idolising him I was determined to enjoy it. I was not disappointed. He was in fine voice, good humour and out to have a good time. Highlights - for me it was "Afterlife", "Hello It's Me", "I Saw The Light" and the superb "Pretending To Care". And what a treat - word perfect debut of "Lord Chancellor's Nightmare Song" and brilliant show stopping "Soul Brother". As if this was not enough my wife and I got to meet our hero for the first time afterwards. What a lovely bloke he is - gracious, patient and happy to sign and pose for photos for all who waited around. I think when you've been a fan of someone for so long you are a bit wary of meeting them for fear they might not quite be who you expect. But Todd exceeded all expectations - what a fantastic night!!!
