Todd in St. Louis

This is the third time I've seen this show, not counting the original at the Delacorte Theater when we had front row seats and went backstage.

Todd sounded wonderful and strong and while the boys (him and Joe) looked a tad loopy from traveling, their performances were wonderful.

Todd opened with Love of the Common Man, and did, some With a twist versions- I saw the Light, etc, of course Hello It's me, also Tiny Demons, Beloved Infidel?, Bang on the Drum (ukelele version), Viking Song (which I'm getting to like) though I wish he would sing the Smell of Money, and ended with Lysistrata, a favorite.

Later, Pretending to Care with Ethel, was inspirational (Todd truly in his Broadway Musical element) and My Guitar Gently Weeps was strong as was Black Maria.

A lovely evening in St. Louis, a great city.
