Hello from Greensboro, NC. Great show tonight. Joe Jackson was excellent. OH acquitted himself well enough. A little rough on the first song, but gained his stride for most of the rest of the set. Curiously, and this happened when I saw him solo in Charlotte, he began singing a song that he had performed earlier. Call it TDD (Todd Deficit Disorder). He was in great voice and very talkative. Made many comments about the ball club here, the Greensboro Grasshoppers. Mentioned his son, Rex, playing Double A ball with the Carolina Mudhens (and batting .318 noted his proud papa). Rex actually played for the major league Florida Marlins recently here in GSO against the Grasshoppers in the first game at the new ball park. I'd rate this as a good but not great Rundgren solo performance. A few flubs on guitar and piano and that mystifying repeat of "Lysistrada." But a near perfect "Viking" and "Compassion." "The Wheel" was a real treat and "Black and White" sounded great. Encores were just fabulous; they made the show and redeemed Todd's earlier gaffes.

I still recommend this show very highly. Ethel is very eclectic and cool and Joe's set was tremendous. Glad I finally saw Todd in Greensboro; only took 20 years (I moved here in '86)
