WoW! Sounds as though Melbourne was the show from HELL according to some of these reviewers. I have seen him solo a few times and I must confess, I never thought of walking out. I thought it to be funny and laughed alone with him when a speaker started to crack or the piano the theater rented was 6 feet too long and tuned by crazy politician. Then again, I have compassion for him as an artist and human being. When things go wrong I accept that. But I don't think Todd does.

I think it helps during times like these to find your sense of humor if one exists. The Todd fans I met are a special sort. Most are compassionate and understanding. Most realize that a dank show is not a function of him not caring.

I feel sorry for the people that attended the Melbourne show and did not like it. Either you just don't get it or perhaps you had a bad night as well. Of course we all want the shows to be the best. He should aim for that. I think ultimately, he does. Honestly, do you believe that Todd wants to put on sub-standard show?

When I go to see Todd Rundgren, I am not going with the intention of seeing just a show. I am going to see someone I truly admire and respect on many levels. If he decided to throw the frick'n guitar away and talk about how much of a bizarre crazy ass Rick Santorum is at the Harrisburg PA show, I would love it! ( hint hint:))

Hmmmm....Santorum - Speaking of bad shows... :)
